Our final stop of the expedition brought us to Whalers Bay on Deception Island, a truly unique destination. This remarkable island is a collapsed volcanic caldera, allowing ships to sail directly into the heart of the volcano!

At Whalers Bay, we made a landing to delve into the fascinating history of whaling in Antarctic waters. Meanwhile, our last session of the ever-popular Science Boat took place, where we collected important water samples for later analysis onboard. As we departed in the evening, we were treated to the breathtaking sight of a golden sunset illuminating the icebergs - a fitting farewell to Antarctica’s awe-inspiring landscapes.
