The evening before, our captain, Terje Willassen, had already prepared us for today's special event: the attempt to set foot on Borge Island, named after the birthplace of Roald Amundsen, also our esteemed captain's birthplace. The day started off windy and wavy and initially we couldn't launch the boats. When this was possible, we entered Borge Island and were greeted by the captain waiting in front of an Amundsen tent.
