First, we explored on our own or as part of a guided walk. Later, just as our mandatory briefings were about to start, there was an announcement: "Polar Bear!" We watched this magnificent animal hop across small islands and swim in the sea. In the early evening, we arrived in Julibukta, having visited the Blomstranbreen glacier on our way. We went ashore to visit the 'Hanging Gardens' of Svalbard, where we briefly spotted an Arctic fox, and the Fortende Julibreen glacier. For those who went kayaking, the memory of that spectacular ice will stay with us always as well as the huge blows of two blue whales.
