Day three of our voyage finally brought us to Greenland, where the first glimpses of mountains and glaciers appeared in the distance. Captain Raymond tried to fight the elements by steering the ship into a thick ice belt. However, it soon became clear that this year's unusual amount of ice in the southern region prevented us from passing through in time. So, everybody kept busy with informational lectures, knitting, vacuum cleaning bags and clothes, and staying on deck to spot whales.
