It was a wet landing in Svalbard in every sense of the word. The rain was relentless for most of the morning but it didnt stop a group of determined hikers from going off for a long walk. The rest of us walked around exploring the cabin, overturned wooden boats, and the numerous piles of Beluga Whale bones from the whaling industry that took place here in the 1930s.
