Some days are all about chance and happenstance. That can work in your favour, or very much against you. This day would be just such a day. Our aim was to visit A23A, one of the largest tabular icebergs on record. Would we be able to see it? Would it elude us in the fog and mist? Upon arrival we caught some glimpses of it, and we were already satisfied. However, it was not enough for our Captain, not nearly! He steered the ship around and pulled in so close we could almost touch it. An experienced captain does indeed help a lot. Now, on to Antarctica!
